Passerby Catches Alligators Duking It Out In Florida Canal

YouTube / Lost Pirate Pictures

If you’ve been to the Circle B Bar Reserve in Lakeland, Florida, it’s likely that you’ve seen alligators swimming through the canal… but you’ve probably never seen anything like this.

Hank Bagwell went for a walk to the edge of the park and noticed just one alligator. He got out his camera to get a great shot and quickly realized he was witnessing a once in a lifetime event…

The two huge gators were in an all-out brawl, thrashing and wrestling until one of the gators decided to retreat.

As seen in the shot above, Bagwell is no stranger to alligators, but he couldn’t believe it when the two giant beasts began to duke it out.

Other Circle B Bar Reserve park-goers are used to seeing alligators as well – the area is a former cattle ranch and is known for alligator sightings. Portions of the park are even closed at times due to an increase in alligator activity during their mating season.

As you can see from Bagwell’s Instagram account, he’s not letting the alligator fight stop him from pursuing amazing shots of wildlife. According to Bagwell, “Neither of those gators were interested that I was there. It was one of the most incredible things I’ve seen in the wild.”
