People's Choice Country Awards/Instagram
Held at Nashville’s Grand Ole Opry House, the inaugural People’s Choice Country Awards is celebrating some of country music’s greatest talent. The year’s best artists, songs, video, tour and social media personality are being recognized and some special awards are being presented.
What sets the PCCAs apart from the CMAs and ACMs is the fan voting aspect. From August 16 to August 25, fans had the opportunity to cast their votes online to choose winners in categories such as The People’s Artist, The Music Video, The Song, The New Artist and more.
Unlike other award shows, the People’s Choice Country Awards will also recognize the Best Concert Tour of 2023, The Crossover Song of 2023 and The Social Country Star of 2023.
The nominees for the first-ever category award are: Ashley McBryde, Carly Pearce, Carrie Underwood , Elle King, Kelsea Ballerini, Lainey Wilson, Megan Moroney and Miranda Lambert.

It has been an incredible year for Lainey Wilson who is up for multiple awards tonight including, People’s Artist, Song of 2023 (“wait in the truck” w/ HARDY), The Collaboration Song (“Save Me” w/Jelly Roll and “wait in the truck” w/HARDY), The Album of 2023 (“Bell Bottom Country”), Music Video of 2023 (“wait in the truck” w/ HARDY).
The upcoming CMA Awards could also prove to be a huge year for Wilson who leads nominations with She also led nominations with 9, becoming the first artist to lead nominations in their first two years on the list (she led with 6 nods last year).
