The Official Tailgate Concert In New Orleans Stars Post Malone

It was a weekend full of exciting events and celebrations as Super Bowl LIX took over New Orleans, Louisiana. Before the Kansas City Chiefs faced off against the Philadelphia Eagles, Post Malone took the stage at the Tailgate Concert just outside of the Caesars Superdome.

Prominent YouTube creators hosted the concert, which was streamed live on the platform. Post Malone, who sang “America The Beautiful” at last year’s Super Bowl, is the fifth artist to headline the official Tailgate Concert since its inception in 2021.

Post Malone Pokes Fun At The Kansas City Chiefs Ahead Of The Super Bowl

Post Malone grew up in Texas and is a Dallas Cowboys fan. Before jumping into his hit song “I Had Some Help,” he took the opportunity to poke some fun at Chiefs fans. The main hook to the song, which was released in collaboration with Morgan Wallen in May 2024, goes:

“I had some help; It ain’t like I can make this kind of mess all by myself,” and continues, “If teamwork makes the dream work, yeah I had some help.”

Of course, Post Malone is making a sly reference to the ongoing claims/conspiracy that the Chief’s success on the field is largely due to favorable calls by referees and game officials.

Post Malone chirps, “I wrote this song about the Chiefs and the referees,” before flashing a big mischievous smile. See the video below!

As BudLight continues to try to recover its brand image, it has partnered with Post Malone and top comedian Shane Gillis. The pair star alongside each other in this year’s Super Bowl commercial for the brand.

As they enjoy a cold beer in their driveway, Post and Shane are approached by their neighbor, who admits he threw a lame Super Bowl party. The singer, who is known for his party habits, and his new comedian friend ultimately step in to save the day.
