Priscilla Presley Contested Daughter Lisa Marie’s Will

When Lisa Marie Presley died on January 12, she left behind three daughters: Riley Keough (age 34), and Harper and Finley Lockwood (both age 14).

Lisa Marie’s son, Benjamin Keough, died in 2020 at the age of 27. He was buried at Graceland. Lisa Marie was laid to rest beside him.

Since Lisa Marie died, there has been much talk about the fate of her estate. It started when Priscilla Presley filed a petition contesting the validity of a 2016 amendment made to her will. This amendment removed her (Priscilla) as a co-trustee of Lisa Marie’s estate. The contested amendment gave Lisa Marie’s trust to Riley, Harper, and Finley.

Priscilla and Riley reached an agreement over the trust on May 16.  Lawyers for both parties said they were happy with the agreement.

Details About Settlement Over Lisa Marie Presley’s Estate – Who Is Trustee?

New details about the settlement were released on June 12. Riley filed a petition indicating she will be the sole trustee of her mom’s estate. She will also own Graceland. Priscilla was given permission to be buried on the property following her death, though not by Elvis as she originally requested.

Priscilla filed a declaration on June 14 in response to Riley’s petition. She said the original petition she (Priscilla) filed in January was “misconstrued” as a “fight” over Lisa Marie’s estate. Priscilla has since fired the law firm that filed that original petition.

Documents show that once the settlement is approved, Riley will become the trustee of the sub-trusts established for her younger sisters. Priscilla will serve as the trustee of a sub-trust for her son (and Lisa Marie’s half brother), Navarone Garibaldi. He will receive 1/9 of the trust, while the rest will be split between Lisa Marie’s daughters.

It also appears that Riley will pay Priscilla a lump sum of $1 million, plus $400,000 for legal fees.
