Property Brothers Star Jonathan Scott Gets Engaged To New Girl Actress Zooey Deschanel

Congratulations are in order for Property Brothers star Jonathan Scott. He just announced his engagement to actress Zooey Deschanel!

Zooey is beloved for her role on the popular sitcom New Girl, which ran from 2011-2018. As for Jonathan, he’s most well-known for appearing alongside his twin brother, Drew, in various HGTV series. The most notable of those series is Property Brothers.

Jonathan and Zooey met in 2019 while filming a “Carpool Karaoke” session on The Late Late Show with James Corden. They performed with their siblings, Drew and Emily.

Jonathan Scott & Zooey Deschanel Announce Engagement On Social Media

Jonathan and Zooey shared their engagement news on Monday (August 14). They released a joint post with a photo of Zooey showcasing her engagement ring.

“Forever starts now!!!” they captioned the picture.

Drew commented on his brother’s post, writing, “This makes me so happy.” The account for the Property Brothers show also commented, saying, “Welcome to the family, @zooeydeschanel!!”

The couple just celebrated their fourth anniversary shortly before announcing their engagement.

Did You Know The Property Brothers Are Also Country Singers?

On top of being TV stars, Drew and Jonathan are country singers too! They formed a duo called The Scott Brothers.

The brothers recorded two country songs that premiered during their 2015 show At Home on the Ranch. Those songs were titled “Hold On” and “Let the Night Shine In.” The former song reached the 38th spot on the Hot Country Songs chart.

Thanks to the songs’ success, Jonathan and Drew got the chance to serve as guest presenters at the Grand Ole Opry in 2016. They also hosted the Friday night Nissan Stadium Show during CMA Fest in 2016.

The brothers joined Eric Paslay to record a third song, titled “My House,” which they released in 2017. All proceeds went to the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Watch the official music video for “My House” below.

Since Zooey sings too, maybe she and Jonathan will release a song together in the future. Congratulations to them on their engagement!
