Get ready, country music fans! Randy Houser is back in the spotlight with a fresh take on his song “Rub a Little Dirt On It.”

This time, he’s bringing along a talented country artist for a new duet version.

Randy Houser, whose full name is Shawn Randolph Houser, has been an admired figure in the country scene since he made his way to Nashville in the early 2000s.

Did you know that one of his early songwriting triumphs was the 2005 chart-topping song “Honky Tonk Badonkadonk,” recorded by Trace Adkins?

Jump to 2022, when Houser released “Rub a Little Dirt On It” as part of his sixth studio album, Note To Self. The song has a lot more to it than just its catchy chorus. It’s basically a reflection of life’s ups and downs. Co-written with Jeff Hyde and Ryann Tyndell, the lyrics draw from Houser’s personal experiences.

From scraped knees to tougher times, we can all relate to the mantra in “Rub a Little Dirt On It.”

“Just crack a six pack open /

Somewhere under an open sky /

Life gets a little hurt on it /

Get in the middle of nowhere, and rub a little dirt on it.”

Earlier this week, Randy Houser stirred up excitement on social media by teasing the brand-new version of the song with a surprise collaborator…Riley Green

Fans were left guessing who his mystery collaborator would be.
