Reba McEntire Is Getting Into The Christmas Spirit

Reba McEntire loves Christmas as much as the next person and her newest announcement is proof.

The country icon just announced she will be hosting Christmas in Rockefeller Center, the iconic television special commemorating the Christmas season in the historic Rockefeller Center.

“Reba’s about to light up your holiday season!” the post announcing her hosting duties read.

“I’m really excited to get to go to New York City in December. I’ve never been there in December,” she said in a statement to People Magazine. “To see all the Christmas decorations and to get to be a part of the tree lighting ceremony, Rockefeller Center, it’s something that I’ve always wanted to do and I’m honored that they asked me to do it.”

Reba Will Be Replacing Kelly Clarkson As Host

Reba’s good friend and former daughter-in-law Kelly Clarkson hosted the show in 2023 and 2024. Along with hosting, she also gave some incredible performances.

To prepare for the frigid temperatures that usually come around that time, Reba says she prepares to bundle up in many laters.

“I’m going to triple, quadruple layer. I’ll probably have my heated vest on, and all the clothes I can, insulated underwear,” she said.

When Is Christmas In Rockefeller Center?

Christmas In Rockefeller Center will take place on Wednesday, December 3 at 8pm Eastern Time on NBC. It will also stream on Peacock at the same time.

More performers will be announced at a later date, but we’re sure it’s going to be a fun-filled evening!
