Ree Drummond’s family has grown with the arrival of her second grandchild.

In March, the eldest daughter of “Pioneer Woman” Ree Drummond, Alex, announced that she is expecting her second child with her husband, Mauricio Scott. The announcement included sweet photos of the Scotts with their one-year-old daughter, Sofia, and their golden retriever, George.

Just one week later, the expecting parents shared a “non-glamorous” gender reveal video. They explained that they had just received the results a few hours prior, and the video shows their real-time reactions to reading them for the first time.

The video cuts to a black-and-white clip of Sofia and then switches to color, showing her in a blue gown with “big sister” proudly displayed. This confirmed that they were having a baby boy. See it below!

Ree Drummond shared her excitement for the new grandbaby in a blog post shared on her Pioneer Woman website. She reflected on how becoming Sofia’s grandmother changed her life and wrote:

I have blissfully swum around in the beautiful, sparkling sea of Sofia Scott and have delighted in every single moment I’ve gotten to spend with her. She is an absolute wonder and I love her so very much. And now she’s officially going to be the eldest daughter.

Alex Drummond Announces The Arrival Of Her New Baby

On Tuesday, Sept. 15, Alex announced that little Charlie Scott officially arrived!

“Our Charlie boy made his arrival yesterday evening and we couldn’t be more in love! Thank you Lord,” Alex wrote.

Weighing 7 pounds, 9 ounces, baby Charles is named after his grandfather, making his birth all the more sweet.

Congratulations to Alex and Mauricio Scott and the whole Drummond family! See the announcement below.
