Bella Robertson & Her Husband Jacob Welcome Their First Baby
Duck Dynasty star Sadie Robertson is sharing an inside glimpse at the emotional arrival of her younger sister, Bella’s, new baby.
Bella and her husband Jacob, who have been married for five years, welcomed a baby girl this week after previously opening up about their struggles with infertility.
The couple shared the exciting news on social media, with Bella revealing the arrival in a social media post. “The best kept secret of my life!!!,” she wrote on her story while announcing the happy news.
Back in May of 2025, Bella first shared during an interview with Us Weekly that her and Jacob were dealing with infertility prior to the season premiere of the Robertson’s new show, Duck Dynasty: The Revival.
Bella and Jacob were married when she was just 18 years old back in 2021. He says he wishes getting pregnant was as “easy” as it appears to be for other people.
“I think what we’ve learned in marriage – and you’ll see in our story in the show – is that I wish getting pregnant and having kids was as easy as people act like it is,” Mayo said at the time. “Just, ‘Oh, I can just pop out a kid,’ or ‘If we want to wait, we get to choose to wait.’ It’s not that transactional of a thing.”
The young couple never previously shared their journey, but ultimately changed their minds with the hope that opening up on the show would help many others going through the same difficulties.
“I think we both felt like if we could help anybody – especially, what are the odds that we’re on this stage, where we can share something that is so real for so many?” Bella said.
Sadie Robertson Shares The Sweet Moments Leading Up To Baby Girl’s Birth
Bella has always been there to celebrate her siblings through their biggest life milestones, so it’s no surprise that her family was just as excited to celebrate her when her own long-awaited moment finally arrived.
Sadie shared a video soon after Bella announced the happy news, showing the emotional moments that led up to baby Merritt’s arrival.
She started the footage recording Bella on her birthday, excitedly saying that it may also be her “birth day.” In the next shot, Bella is at the hospital getting set up to have the baby!
Sadie then shares sweet moments of the family eagerly awaiting for Merritt, along with the moment she began crying and all of Bella’s sisters could hear from outside the door.
Because this is Bella and Jacob’s “rainbow baby,” a term used for a baby born after a pregnancy or infant loss, it was clear the entire family was overwhelmed with emotion as they finally welcomed their little one into the world.
And with Merritt already having 11 older cousins to grow up alongside, it’s clear she will be surrounded by plenty of love. Congratulations to the entire Robertson family on their newest addition!
