Brexton Busch Is The Son Of The late Kyle Busch

When NASCAR driver Kyle Busch passed away in May, he left behind a wife, Samantha, and two children, 11-year-old Brexton and 4-year-old Lennix.

Brexton is already following in his dad’s footsteps and has dreams of being a NASCAR driver. In fact, his future is so bright that Richard Childress Racing has retired Kyle’s #8 until Brexton is ready to use it.

Brexton Returned To Racing Three Weeks After Kyle’s Passing

On June 8, Brexton returned to the race track, knowing that’s what his dad would have wanted for him.

He placed sixth and second in those races.

A few days later, Samantha took to social media to commemorate their first day back at the race track, and their first race without Kyle there.

“Watching Brexton back at the track is both heartbreaking and beautiful all at once because there are moments when I catch a glimpse of Kyle in him, the same determination, the same passion, the same spark, and for a second it feels like a piece of him is still right here with us,” Samantha wrote.

She said that while there have been “hard” moments, they are also a reminder that Kyle’s legacy will forever live on. Samantha revealed that before he died, she promised Kyle that she would always help their children “pursue their dreams no matter what.”

“For Brexton, that dream is racing,” she shared. “It wasn’t a dream Kyle chose for him. It was something they shared. They spent countless hours talking about race cars, working together, dreaming together, and building a bond around something they both genuinely loved.”

Brexton Took Home His First Win Since His Dad’s Death

On July 18th, Brexton recorded his first win since Kyle passed away and paid tribute to his dad in the best way: doing his signature bow.

His mom also took to Instagram to honor her son’s accomplishment for the first time without her husband.

Samantha wrote, “First win since losing Kyle. I’ve never felt so proud and so heartbroken at the same time.”

She continued, “Brexton continues to amaze me with his determination, his resilience, the way he keeps showing up to do what he loves even while carrying so much at such a young age.

Watching him celebrate all I could think about was Kyle. There was nothing that made him happier than watching Brex race, spending the day tinkering on his car and then being the first one sprinting to Victory Lane with that huge grin on his face.”

Samantha ended her post by writing, “Congratulations, buddy. Dad would’ve been so, so proud.”
