Country Singers & Their Loved Ones Celebrate A Snowy Day In Nashville

Folks in Nashville, Tennessee got the chance to enjoy a rare snow day on Monday (January 15). The Tennessean reports that snow started falling on Sunday (January 14) and continued throughout Monday.

The publication cited data from The National Weather Service, which provided snowfall amounts in various areas across Middle Tennessee. Here are some of those numbers (which are accurate as of 8 AM on Tuesday, January 16):

  • Nashville International Airport: 7.6 inches
  • Old Hickory: 8.1 inches
  • Hendersonville: 8.1 inches
  • Mt. Juliet: 6.8 inches
  • Lewisburg: 6.9 inches
  • Kingston Springs: 8 inches
  • St. Joseph: 7 inches
  • Collinwood: 7 inches
  • Dickson: 8 inches
  • Centerville: 8 inches

Country superstar Carrie Underwood posted a rare photo on her Instagram Story of her youngest son, Jacob, admiring the snow in their yard. Later, Carrie shared a picture of some baked goods she made to enjoy on their snow day at home.

Chase Rice arrived back in Nashville after being in Hawaii, and he wasn’t prepared for the snow, to say the least. The singer had on a pair of athletic shorts, a ball cap, and a thin zip up sweatshirt. Quite the welcome home!

Terri Clark originally had plans to head to a rehearsal, but the snow changed those plans. So she bundled up, went outside, and built a snowman that reminded her of the late country music legend Little Jimmy Dickens.

Kenny Chesney and his dog, Poncho, are used to life at the beach. But they were in Nashville for the big snow, and made the most of it.

Kenny shared a picture of Poncho in the fresh snow, captioning it, “Snow day with my best friend.” The singer also brought the tropics to wintery Nashville by placing some bottles of his Blue Chair Bay coconut rum in the snow.

Jason Aldean’s wife, Brittany, shared a picture of their kids, Memphis and Navy, getting ready to play in the snow. She also included a short video of them having a snowball fight.

Later, the kids came inside to warm up and enjoyed cups of hot chocolate with marshmallows.

Luke Combs’ wife, Nicole, enjoyed some time outside in the snow. She shared some photos on her Instagram Story of the beautiful winter scenery.

Nicole also put the snow to use and made some delicious “snow cream” ice cream.

Jessie James Decker

Jessie James Decker shared several photos and videos of her family enjoying their snow day. Her kids Vivianne, Eric Jr., and Forrest had a fun time frolicking in the snow with their dogs.

Jessie is expecting her fourth child with her husband, Eric Decker. She bundled up in a plaid onesie to venture out in the cold with her kids.
