Footage that has been going crazy on social media shows the scary moment a shark bit a man’s hand and started spinning until he walked away bleeding and cussing that it got his pinky.
Brett Reeder was on a fishing expedition with his family just a few miles off the coast of south Miami in the Content Keys when the terrifying incident went down.
The video showed him leaning over the boat trying to remove a hook from the shark’s mouth when he got a little too close to the predatorial beast’s jaws. The shark clamped down on the man’s hand and pinky and started doing a horrifying spin.
Within seconds, blood starts gushing everywhere and his wife Mandy starts screaming as she films the entire incident unfolding before everyone, including their kids on the boat.
“Damnit! F**k! It got my God damn pinky! F**k!” he said before she stopped filming the video.
Brett managed to pull his hand away from the shark as the creature drops back down in the water and he begins to bleed everywhere on the boat.

Another person who was on the boat said, “So glad my mum and I were there to help with the quick medical attention and how Mandy stayed so calm for the kids,” The Daily Star reported.
After getting his hand wrapped up by the ladies as best they could, Brett drove the boat 25 miles back to shore himself and then was airlifted to the hospital.

According to Mirror UK, Brett said, “I tried to get a hold of him to get my hook back and got unlucky when he spun around caught the top of my hand, and got my pinky and started twisting.”
Since then he had made update videos showing that he had to get 50+ stitches and a rod put into his hand, but overall is on the road to recovery. Some media outlets said that his pinky was fully bitten off, however, that’s not true. The shark certainly messed his hand and pinky up pretty badly but fortunately for Brett, he still has all his digits.
