Singer Kelsie May Requests Prayers For Father-In-Law

Kelsie May is a Kentucky native who most will recognize as a contestant on NBC’s The Voice. The young singer has taken to Instagram to ask fans to urgently pray for her father-in-law, Scott.

According to an Instagram post, he stopped breathing, but was revived after CPR was administered.

A few hours later, she gave an update on her father-in-law’s condition. He is currently stable but still in the ICU in a medically induced coma. Kelsie has asked that everyone continue praying.

Kelsie married her husband Isaiah Schatzline in April, right at the peak of COVID-19. The couple had originally planned for their wedding day to be June 14, 2020, but Kelsie made the surprise announcement and told her Instagram followers that they literally found a spot on the side of the road to do the ceremony.

The two of them also released a video telling the story of how they met.
