Stagecoach 2026 has been postponed after attendees were notified to evacuate.

Stagecoach attendees were prompted to evacuate and seek shelter due to high winds during Saturday night’s concerts (April 25). A message posted to screens on stage read, “Emergency Evacuation. The festival has been postponed until further notice. Please move quickly and calmly to the nearest exit.”

Some concertgoers posted on social media amid the evacuation, showing people rushing to find shelter as an announcer encouraged them to evacuate.

Video shared by a local meteorologist shows lights and speakers suspended from the top of the stage being blown around by the wind, putting the performing artists and concertgoers in danger.

One attendee shared a screenshot of a text they apparently received from organizers that read, “We are in a Code Red emergency protocol. For your immediate safety, please take shelter at the white Forum Tent located directly North of the Safari Campground.” They further advised that shelter should be found in a permanent structure instead of a tent or yurt.

Stagecoach Night Two Lineup

The evacuation happened during Little Big Town’s Mane Stage performance. It was the first time the group had played the iconic festival since 2016. Riley Green was scheduled to follow Little Big Town’s set, and the night’s headliner, Lainey Wilson, was set to wrap up Night Two of Stagecoach.

After a delay of approximately 2 hours, Stagecoach announced it was reopening the gates and allowing people back in. The news prompted a mixed response from fans, many of whom had left the festival location under the impression that it had been canceled for the night.

“Bruhhhh I am in my jammmies now with jack in the box tacos,” one disappointed fan wrote. “Unreal!!! You tell us to leave and ’emergency evacuate’ then restart!!! Unbelievable,” and “BACK IN OUR CARS TO OUR HOTELS AND AIRBNB BECAUSE WE WERE INSTRUCTED EMERGENCY EVACUATION ! UNREAL!” others wrote.

Others who weren’t able to make it out before the update returned to the Mane Stage area, some with better seats than they had to begin with.

When Stagecoach revealed that they would be resuming Saturday night’s show, they appeared to have canceled Riley Green’s set. Lainey Wilson was the only performer listed on the night’s new timeline.

Riley Green’s Stagecoach Set Canceled

Fans expressed their disappointment that Riley Green was no longer performing. “Cutting @rileyduckman’s set entirely is criminal…,” an attendee wrote, and many agreed, begging coordinators to add him to Sunday’s schedule.

While Riley didn’t get to perform his own full set, Lainey Wilson welcomed him and Little Big Town to the stage to perform a cover of Merle Haggard’s “I’ll Just Stay Here And Drink.” As the acts made their way off the stage, Lainey asked Riley to stay behind and sing one of his own songs.

Lainey exited the stage to give Riley his own Stagecoach moment. He sang “I Wish Grandpas Never Died” from his 2019 debut album. See his performance in the video below.
