“Waking up to Basil in the morning grunting to say hello… Fabulous,” a guest wrote on Airbnb.

On the grounds of a 17th-century manor in Thurgarton, Nottinghamshire, surrounded by a 60-acre estate, there’s a one-bedroom apartment for rent with a horse stall attached to the side. In that stall, is Basil, a beautiful miniature horse that hangs out with whoever decides to spend the night.

Guests can cuddle and love on Basil as much as they want. The apartment also has other amenities like an open outdoor fireplace with a bbq grill and an outdoor tiki hut seating area to enjoy as well. You can even take a stroll across the bridge to look at their cows, sheep, and horses.

“On the property we have more than just horses – we also have a variety of rescued farm animals that includes, cows, sheep, chickens, turkeys, two cats, and a tortoise,” Nottingham Post reported Brittany, the owner of the apartment saying.

The 4.96 star AirBnB has one bathroom, three beds, and sleeps four. Basil will usually be in the stable from the time you arrive and will stay there overnight. In the morning between 10:30-10:45am, Brittany gets him from the stable to either go back out to his field or for a walk.

“So far, everyone has loved the stay and it’s lovely to see people so excited to spend time with the animals,” Brittany said.

“I believe one of the best ways we can improve the treatment of animals is by allowing people to interact directly with them and educating people on their care. The space we had leant itself perfectly to allowing people to do this,” she added.

The apartment is only $198 per night and you can book a stay directly on the Airbnb website. As for those more interested in miniature horses, check out the video below showing seven things you need to know before buying a miniature horse.
