Texas Singer-Songwriter Steve Anthony Releases New Music Video For Fun Summertime Single “I’m Falling In”

Steve Anthony has loved music since he was a child. He started singing and playing guitar when he was only ten, and formed his first band at age 15.

Anthony first achieved notoriety as a songwriter and member of the country band, Southern Comfort. He had the opportunity to tour with and play guitar for David Kesh and Johnny Bush.

The Caldwell, Texas native took a break from major performances for many years. Though he continued singing in church.

After his long break, Anthony felt the urge to start writing again. He’s since released four studio albums and multiple singles. Five consecutive singles of Anthony’s landed at the #1 spot on the Southern Gospel/Positive Country Charts.

Singer Uses Past Experience As An Underwater Diver For Inspiration In His Latest Music Video

In addition to being a country artist, Anthony is also an avid underwater diver. That’s where the inspiration came from for his newest music video for his rollicking summertime single “I’m Falling In.”

The video made its digital premiere on Country Rebel on Friday (July 14).

Anthony and fellow diver Joe Kelly came up with the idea for the video. Don Mills was enlisted to direct the project, which they filmed in Cozumel, Mexico.

The video for “I’m Falling In” also features a famous co-star, Hannah Fraser…otherwise known as “Hannah Mermaid.” Anthony described her as “an absolute jewel to work with.”

It opens with scenes of Anthony performing on land and strolling along the beach with the beautiful Fraser. The latter half of the video takes things underwater, as Anthony joins a now-mermaid Fraser in the blue waters of the Caribbean Sea.

Anthony sings underwater while Fraser and the stunning sea creatures swim around him.

What Was It Like For Steve Anthony To Film A Video Underwater?

Anthony described his experience filming the video for “I”m Falling In,” saying:

“When I jumped off the boat with forty pounds of lead tied to me, I shot down to the bottom of the ocean like a torpedo and thought ‘what did I get myself into?'”

Anthony said other than not breathing underwater, the hardest part of the experience was keeping his cowboy hat on his head.Managing to get this all done in one take was a small miracle which required all of my previous diving skills,” he commented.

Mills also offered his perspective on filming the video. He said it “was the most challenging production we have done yet.” Mills added:

“We had so much fun taking this concept to reality. Shooting Steve Anthony singing underwater was something that pushed my limits as a director, and it turned out better than I had hoped for.”

The Country Network will showcase the broadcast television premiere of the music video for “I’m Falling In” on Monday (July 17). You can also watch the fun-filled video below and download the single here.
