Who Will Be Performing During Halftime Of Super Bowl LXI?
During halftime of Monday night’s game (Oct. 26) between the Dallas Cowboys and Philadelphia Eagles, the NFL announced Super Bowl LXI’s halftime performer.
It was announced that Jay Z would be headlining the 2027 Super Bowl Halftime Show. The news was posted on social media, with one post from Apple Music declaring, “GOAT’s out of the bag.”
The news comes a week after rumors swirled that the performer had chosen himself for the halftime show honors. How does that work? Roc Nation, the company founded by the rapper, partners with the NFL for the halftime show and has a say in who is given the honor.
Miley Cyrus and Justin Bieber were reportedly in the running for the gig, but Jay-Z ultimately secured the spot.

In 1994, Clint Black, The Judds, Travis Tritt, Tanya Tucker, and Charlie Daniels teamed up for a halftime show titled Rockin’ Country Sunday.
Super Bowl LXI will take place on Valentine’s Day, February 14, 2027. So-Fi Stadium in Inglewood, California, will host the Big Game for the second time (the first being in 2022).
