The Voice season 22 semi-finals aired Tuesday night (December 6) and left one coach without a team heading into next week’s finale.

At the start of Tuesday’s episode of The Voice, eight talented singers awaited their fate that was decided by America’s votes. Going into the semi-finals, Team Blake and Team Legend were well represented with three artists each. Team Gwen and Team Camila each only had one artist. Only five were moving on to the finale, leaving a high probability that at least one coach may not be represented in the finale.

Bryce Leatherwood of Team Blake was the first singer declared as a finalist. First time coach Camila Cabello’s only artist, Morgan Myles, then learned that she would be moving on.

Veteran coach Blake Shelton then learned that his final two artists, Bodie and Brayden Lape, were also safe, giving the country crooner a clean sweep in the semi-finals. With only one spot remaining, either Team Legend or Team Gwen were going to be without a team in the finale.

Parijita Bastola, Kim Cruz and Omar Jose Cardona of Team Legend and Team Gwen’s Justin Aaron each took the stage in an effort to win the Instant Save.

Bastola wowed with a dazzling cover of “To Make You Feel My Love.” Kim followed with a performance of Celine Dion’s “All By Myself.” Justin Aaron then took the stage to perform Travis Greene’s “Made a Way.” Omar was the last to sing with a stunning performance of Lady Gaga’s “You and I.”

Ultimately, Omar Jose Cardona earned enough of America’s vote to win the Instant Save, securing him a spot in next week’s finale. The result wiped out Gwen Stefani’s team ahead of the season 22 finale.

Tune in on December 12 and 13 for a two-part Voice season 22 finale.
