The long-awaited opening of Morgan Wallen’s This Bar finally took place this past weekend!

In February, Wallen announced that he would be opening a bar called This Bar & Tennessee Kitchen, becoming the latest country music star to open a bar in Downtown Nashville. The announcement read, “You’ll find yourself in #ThisBar.”

This Bar was initially slated to open on Memorial Day Weekend, but a Nashville City Council vote postponed the opening.

The City Council voted on May 22nd to reject Wallen’s proposal to have a 20-foot neon sign outside his bar, with some of the council saying his recent “actions have consequences.”

The actions that the City Council was referring to were Wallen’s April arrest for “three counts of reckless endangerment” as well as “disorderly conduct” following an incident where Wallen allegedly threw a chair off the rooftop of a six-story bar owned by Eric Church.

The chair landed within a few feet of Metro Nashville Police Officers, who were immediately told by staff that Wallen had thrown the chair.

Wallen was eventually released from jail on a $15,200 bond and is due in court on August 15.

On May 31, This Bar announced they would open on Saturday, June 1st at 11 am.

“Find yourself in #ThisBar June 1st – 11 AM,” the announcement read.

For months, we’ve wondered what the bar will look like…and now we know!

Even in the rain, patrons lined up for blocks to get a chance to go inside This Bar, which stands six stories high. There are three stages at This Bar: Wallen’s Main Stage, Wallen’s Club Stage, and Wallen’s Rooftop Stage. Live music is scheduled to be played from 10 a.m. until closing Wednesdays through Sundays.

The bar is an ode to his family and East Tennessee roots, and when you look inside, you can tell he loves both of those things.

The food menu includes some of Wallen’s mom’s recipes and different levels of the venue showcase childhood photos and memorabilia. The cocktail menu includes drinks named after some of Wallen’s songs, including “More Than My Hometown,” “Ain’t That Some,” and “Sunrise.”

Despite the lack of neon signs outside his bar, Wallen put plenty inside that pay homage to his music. You can see a few of them in the video below.
