Alan Jackson Takes The Stage For One Last Farewell Performance
Alan Jackson’s farewell show brought together some of country music’s biggest stars to honor the country star and his legendary career.
In 2021, Jackson first announced that he had been diagnosed with Charcot-Marie-Tooth disease (CMT), an incurable, degenerative nerve condition that affects the peripheral nerves.
Following his diagnosis, Alan Jackson launched his multi-year “Last Call” farewell tour, giving fans one final opportunity to see him perform live. The tour concluded on May 17, 2025, with a final stop in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. His last-ever performance was later confirmed for June 27 at Nissan Stadium.
The lineup featured performances from Luke Bryan, Eric Church, Luke Combs, Riley Green, Cody Johnson, Miranda Lambert, Jon Pardi, Thomas Rhett, George Strait, Carrie Underwood, Lainey Wilson, Lee Ann Womack, and more.
Taylor Swift Met With Unhappy Reaction From The Crowd
Throughout the night, fans watched emotional video tributes celebrating different eras of Jackson’s career. Several stars who were unable to attend in person also shared messages.
Just before Jackson took the stage for his final performance, Grand Ole Opry announcer Kelly Sutton told the crowd there was “one more video.”
As Taylor Swift’s image appeared on the massive stadium screens, the crowd erupted with a loud wave of boos that briefly overshadowed the start of her video message honoring Jackson.
“I appreciate you so much for the ways that you have just treated me and the other artists and writers with such support and encouragement over the years. And I am so excited for your show,” Swift could be heard saying among the crowd’s boos.
