Season 30 of The Voice is moving fast, and we’ve already reached the point in the competition where America gets a say in who moves forward.

The Battle Rounds are over, and tonight’s episode (November 2) officially kicks off Cut Week. It’s a new format fans have never seen, replacing the usual Knockout and Playoff rounds.

The Season 30 twist will bring one of the biggest single-week eliminations in the show’s history. The night will begin with 28 artists (7 singers per team coached by Kelly Clarkson, Riley Green, Adam Levine, and Queen Latifah). By the end, 15 contestants will be sent home.

How Does Cut Week Work?

During Cut Week, each coach will choose two contestants to move on to the Live Shows. The five remaining artists on each team will then compete for the third and final spot.

That’s when things get really interesting for viewers at home. Once the Top 12 are revealed, fans watching can vote in real time on who they want to claim the 13th spot.

How To Vote During The Voice’s Cut Week: Rules & Methods

The Voice has added two new ways for fans to vote this season.

In addition to voting through the show’s official app and the NBC voting page, viewers can now cast their votes through SMS text messaging or TikTok.

Here are a few important rules to remember while voting using the new methods:

SMS Text Voting:

Text the artist’s correctly spelled name to 22854.

  • Must be 18+ and located in the U.S. with a participating carrier
  • You can vote for multiple artists by sending individual messages. Each text must include one artist’s name and counts as one vote.
  • Votes will only be valid during the voting window period

TikTok Voting:

Comment the artist’s correctly spelled name on the official voting post.

  • You must have a public TikTok account located in the U.S. or its territories
  • You must be 18 years or older
  • Votes will only be valid during the voting window period
  • Each comment counts as one vote. You can vote for multiple artists (one name per comment).
