In a heart-breaking elimination episode Tuesday (December 12), The Voice‘s field of nine semifinalists was narrowed down to five. And one coach was left without a team heading into next week’s finale.

Season 24 of The Voice is coming to an end. The two-night finale is set to air on NBC December 18 and 19 where a new winner will be crowned.

Monday night’s episode found nine remaining contestants fighting for a spot in the finale with Taylor Swift covers and songs chosen by the fans. But, for four of those singers, it just wasn’t quite enough. Voting was open through the night as fans chimed in on who they wanted to see in the finale.

The Top 9 included: Lila Forde and Mac Royals of Team Legend; Jacquie Roar, Jordan Rainer and Ruby Leigh of Team Reba; Team Gwen’s BIAS; and Team Niall’s Huntley, Mara Justine and Nini Iris.

During Tuesday’s episode, the top four vote-getters were announced while five had to battle it out for a final Instant Save. The four contestants that moved through based on America’s vote were: Huntley (Team Niall), Lila Forde (Team Legend), Mara Justine (Team Niall) and Ruby Leigh (Team Reba).

The remaining contestants had one more chance to win over America with an Instant Save performance. Jacquie Roar and Jordan Rainer of Team Reba found themselves vying for the final Top 5 spot, and one of them secured it – Jacquie Roar.

Jacquie’s cover of “Alone” by heart was enough to make her a finalist, giving Reba two singers in the finale.

“Girl, as John would say, you were ‘sanging’ tonight. If America doesn’t vote you through, I don’t know what to think. You are good. You are professional. You are a star,” Reba told Jacquie.

The Instant Save results meant that Team Gwen was left without a singer in the final and dashed any hopes that she would earn another Voice title.

NBC Announces The Star-Studded Finale Lineup

Each of the Top 5 will perform again next week. Keeping with Voice tradition, the finalists will perform alone and sing a duet with their coach.

In addition, an impressive list of guests will also sing, including Keith Urban (“Blue Ain’t Your Color”), Jelly Roll (“Save Me”), and Season 25 coaches, Dan + Shay (“Bigger Houses”).

Tune in to NBC on December 18 and 19 to see who will take home the season 24 Voice crown!
