Night two of The Voice Season 28 Battles sent one country singer home after a rowdy Carrie Underwood cover.

Prior to Tuesday night’s episode of The Voice, all twelve country singers who advanced past the Blind Auditions were still in the competition. Three male country artists competed on Monday night and all survived elimination, either by winning their Battle or being saved by another coach.

Unfortunately, the second night of Voice Battles brought a different outcome. Team Reba’s Cori Kennedy and Aubrey Nicole teamed up to battle it out with a cover of Carrie Underwood’s “Somethin’ Bad.” Both artists caught Reba’s attention during the Blinds, but for very different reasons.

Nicole, who auditioned with Cam’s “Burning House,” earned praise for her ability to portray a feeling. Kennedy, who turned two chairs with The Judds’ “Why Not Me,” earned her spot on Team Reba because of her “power” and willingness to take on a tough song.

With the help of her advisor, Nick Jonas, Reba helped the ladies prepare for their Battle with some practical advice.

Cori Kennedy and Aubrey Nicole’s Battle showed viewers the magnitude of their talent.

“That’s how you battle!” coach Michael Buble said. The other coaches agreed, with Coach Snoop praising Reba’s ability to hear something during the Blind Auditions that the other coaches missed.

“Y’all made somethin’ bad somethin’ good,” Snoop said before telling Reba that he would choose Cori to advance to the Knockout Round.

“I had to choose Cori because she’s real country, got that grit,” Reba said. “She’s feisty and powerful.”

But that didn’t mean the end of the road for Aubrey Nicole.

Before host Carson Daly had time to remind the coaches that she was available to Steal or Save, Reba hit her Save button, keeping Aubrey on her team. Moments later Snoop Dogg hit his Steal button, meaning Aubrey had to make a decision about staying on Team Reba or switching to Team Snoop.

Aubrey Nicole chose to remain on Team Reba!
