The Voice Will Return For Its Landmark 30th Season In 2026
In September 2026, The Voice will return to television for its impressive 30th season!
Moments after the Season 29 finale aired, the show actually announced the first coach for the next season would be…Adam Levine! He was already riding the high of winning The Voice: Battle of Champions, also known as Season 29, with Alexia Jayy.
He returned after many years away for Seasons 27 and 29, and is very excited to come back again for Season 30.
“I will be back. I’m having so much fun doing it,” Levine told PEOPLE. “Since I came back a few seasons ago it’s just been a blast and I’m super happy to keep it going as long as they’ll have me.“
A few weeks later, the show announced the second coach for Season 30: Kelly Clarkson!
“Please give a warm welcome back to Coach Kelly Clarkson! The Voice returns this fall,” the show announced on social media on May 7.
Over the weekend, The Voice began giving clues to their third coach with a cowboy hat, a duck, and a mustache.
All signs pointed to country singer Riley Green, and we were right! Green confirmed the news on social media by writing, “Guess y’all can start calling me coach… see ya this fall.“
The Fourth And Final Coach Was Announced On Tuesday (May 12)
On May 12, The Voice announced the final coach for Season 30 is…Queen Latifah!
Latifah will make her debut on the singing competition show, but she comes with loads of experience. She burst on the music scene at just 19 years old as a rapper and a singer and in 1995, she won her first Grammy for her song “U.N.I.T.Y.”
The rapper-singer-actress even has an Academy Award nomination for Best Supporting Actress in the movie musical Chicago, and made history in 1993 as being the first solo female rapper to have an album achieve gold status by the RIAA for Black Reign.
More recently, she has starred in the movies Hairspray, Girls Trip, and has maintained a close relationship with the legendary Dolly Parton after they stared in Joyful Noise together!
They recently released a song together, a remake of Parton’s “Light Of A Lear Blue Morning.”
Queen Latifah has not yet commented on her appointment as a coach, but we sure are excited to see her join the show! Levine and Clarkson each have won the show four times, and with them coaching alongside two newcomers, it will be interesting to see how they can try to get a leg up on each other!
