ACM Awards Set To Return On May 17th
The 61st ACM Awards are set to take place on May 17th, live from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada. The annual celebration promises “unprecedented performances, exclusive collaborations, and unexpected moments from the biggest Country Music stars.”
Each year, the Academy of Country Music (ACM) brings together top talent in country music to celebrate accomplishments in the genre. Established in 1966, it is the longest-running country music awards show.
In 2022, the ACMs made history as the first major awards ceremony to air exclusively via livestream. This will continue for 2026, and fans can watch live on Prime Video on Sunday, May 17, 2026, at 8 p.m. ET / 7 p.m. CT / 5 p.m. Additionally, the show will be broadcast on the Amazon Music channel on Twitch and in the Amazon Music app.
First Found Of Performers Announced
On March 19, the Academy of Country Music announced the first round of performers for the ceremony. Lainey Wilson will premiere her new single “Can’t Sit Still” for the first time. Riley Green will perform “Change My Mind,” and Cody Johnson‘s song selection has not yet been announced.
Country music superstar Reba McEntire has hosted the ACM Awards a record total of 18 times. However, she confirmed that she will not return to the role this year.
Additional Stars Added To ACM Awards Lineup
On April 7th, the star power increased as three more acts were added to the ACM Awards performance lineup. Kacey Musgraves, Little Big Town, and Miranda Lambert are all set to take the stage during the momentous night.
Kacey Musgraves, who is the recipient of seven ACM trophies, will perform a new song from her upcoming album, Middle of Nowhere. The album is scheduled to be released two weeks before the awards show, on May 1st.
The eight-time ACM-winning group Little Big Town is planning a “special performance,” but specific details are not yet available.
Miranda Lambert is the most decorated artist in ACM history, with a record-setting 38 wins. She will deliver what is described as a “showstopping performance.” More “unforgettable performances, presenters, ACM Awards Week events,” as well as the host, will be announced in the coming weeks.
