Former NFL player Tim Tebow has been speaking about religion to prisoners for many years now.
In October of 2019, Tebow stopped by the Alfred D. Hughes Unit, a prison in Gatesville, Texas, to speak to the men there about Christ.

The former athlete commemorated his time there in an Instagram post saying, “So encouraged by what God is doing at Alfred Hughes prison and grateful for the time spent with my new brothers in Christ today!”
He continued, “Excited to see how they will use their lives for the Kingdom as the grow closer to God and encourage others to live in faith!”

But before he left, Tebow and an inmate competed in a push-up contest in front of the whole prison. Being a Heisman trophy-winner, a former professional football player, and a current minor league baseball player, you’d think he would have an advantage here.

In the video posted to Tebow’s Instagram page, you can see him and a prisoner go head-to-head in a push-up contest. They did as many push-ups as they could. Tebow maxed out at 71, but the prisoner did an impressive 84!
After finding out the results, Tebow yelled, “I got smoked!”
