Todd and Julie Chrisley, well-known for their reality show Chrisley Knows Best, have sold their Brentwood, Tennessee home for a staggering $5.2 million.
The costly 13,279-square-foot Brentwood residence, featuring luxurious amenities, including an indoor basketball court, a state-of-the-art professional chef’s kitchen, a pool complete with a jacuzzi, and various other lavish features, reportedly sold in a quiet off-market deal back in April 2023.
The unknown sale of the home occurred just three months after the couple began serving federal prison sentences, which total a combined 19 years for charges related to tax evasion and bank fraud. The off-market nature of the transaction kept it under wraps until now, which was initially reported by TMZ.
The couple originally purchased the Middle Tennessee mansion back in 2019 for $3.3 million, however, the financial gains from the sale come into question due to the substantial legal reprecussions they faced. A judge mandated a payment of $17.2 million as part of their legal consequences, casting doubt on whether the sale of their home would be any profit to the Chrisley family.
Initially known for his success as a real estate mogul, Todd Chrisley and Julie Chrisley first rose to fame through their widely-watched reality show Chrisley Knows Best. The show provided viewers with a glimpse into the bustling life of their family, highlighting not only the daily chaos in which they were known for, but also their extravagant lifestyles.
In November 2022, Todd and Julie Chrisley found themselves entangled in legal troubles when they were convicted and sentenced on charges pertaining to federal tax evasion and bank fraud. Beginning their sentence in January 2023, their convictions have prompted the couple to navigate their prison time in different locations. Todd, aged 54, is currently serving his time in Pensacola, Florida, while Julie, aged 51, is situated in Lexington, Kentucky.
