The Country Music Association has released a new trailer for the CMA Awards, less than two weeks before its special 60th anniversary.

The 2026 CMA Awards will air live from Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena on Wednesday, November 18. While the show is already known as country music’s biggest night, this year’s ceremony is going to be an even bigger celebration.

In honor of 60 years of the award show, this year’s broadcast will shine a spotlight on country music’s Golden Era, the 1990s.

CMA CEO Sarah Trahern recently explained that the ’90s were chosen because of the incredible impact that era has had on today’s country stars.

“You can’t get hotter than the ’90s now in a lot of ways,” Trahern said. “When we did the 50th, we reached way back to the very beginning. We’ll reach back some to the early days of the CMAs, but really, the hot artists today, their heroes are the stars of the ’90s.”

Viewers can expect some incredible tributes to the stars who helped shape country music during that time period. The CMAs are keeping many of those details under wraps, but they have shared some information, like who will be performing during the night.

The first wave of musical guests were announced on Thursday, November 5, and include: Cody Johnson, Miranda Lambert, Ella Langley, Tim McGraw, Kacey Musgraves, The Red Clay Strays, Zach Top, and Tucker Wetmore.

More performers are expected to be revealed closer to award show day, as well as presenters and special guests.

New Trailer Released For The 60th CMA Awards

Following the announcement of who will be performing, the CMA dropped a new trailer to get fans even more excited about the ceremony.

The video opens with a clip of Lainey Wilson who will be returning as host. This will be her second time hosting the CMA Awards solo and her third time hosting the show overall.

The trailer also teases the emotional tribute planned for “American original,” Dolly Parton. It hasn’t been shared who will take part in honoring the country legends life and legacy, but it’ll surely be a moment viewers won’t forget.

The CMA Awards will air Wednesday, November 18, at 7:00 PM to 10:00 PM CT. You can watch on ABC and Disney+, with next-day streaming available on Hulu.
