Travis Tritt Steps Away From Performing To Recover After Pneumonia Diagnosis

Travis Tritt is on the mend after being sick for the past couple of weeks.
The country music star took to social media a few days ago to let fans know he’s been battling pneumonia. He said he’d actually had it for about two weeks but didn’t realize what was going on until a doctor diagnosed him.
“I’m sorry to report that I was diagnosed with pneumonia earlier this week,” Tritt wrote in a post shared to Instagram. “Turns out that the pneumonia was actually present for the past 2 weeks, but I didn’t know it, because I’ve never had it before. I just knew I felt a bit weak and sluggish.
Because of his condition, Tritt had to step away from performing for the time being to focus on his health. Unfortunately, that meant postponing two shows this past weekend.
In his post, the 63-year-old told fans that his September 25 concert in Macon, Georgia, and his September 26 show in Charleston, South Carolina, had been rescheduled for a later date.
When Will Travis Tritt’s Postponed Shows Be Rescheduled?
Fans who planned to attend Tritt’s Charleston show will now see him on November 14, 2026. Those with tickets to his Macon show will have to wait a little longer, with the rescheduled date set for April 22, 2027.
The bright side is that Tritt has made things as easy as possible for fans affected by the sudden change. He informed everyone they don’t have to do anything to keep their tickets valid for the new show dates.
“All tickets already purchased will be valid for the new dates,” he said. “I fully expect to be back in the saddle next week. Thanks for understanding!”

Tritt’s next scheduled show is Friday, October 2, at the Country Calling Festival in Ocean City, Maryland. He’s joining a stacked lineup that includes Rascal Flatts, Dierks Bentley, Lainey Wilson, and more.
He’ll continue touring through mid-November before taking a few months off. Tritt will hit the road again in March 2027.
