Travis Tritt is back on the road after pneumonia forced him to cancel weeks of shows.

The 63-year-old first shared news of his illness on September 24th, revealing that he had been sick for “2 weeks,” but had only just recently received a pneumonia diagnosis. As a result, he was forced to reschedule his shows scheduled for the following weekend.

Tritt recalled feeling “weak and sluggish,” but having never experienced pneumonia before, he did not know the severity of his condition. At the time, the musician felt confident that he would be “back in the saddle” the following week; however, his recovery proved to take longer than he had anticipated.

On September 30th, Tritt announced the cancellation of his shows through the first weekend of October. The trend continued the following week, when his health prevented him from performing three shows scheduled between October 9th and 11th.
