Travis Tritt won’t quit.

However, the country artist is rescheduling another show, and canceling some altogether.

Back on Sept. 24, Tritt, who is 63, shared that he had been diagnosed with pneumonia.

“I’m sorry to report that I was diagnosed with pneumonia earlier this week,” he said on Sept. 24. “Turns out that the pneumonia was actually present for the past 2 weeks, but I didn’t know it, because I’ve never had it before. I just knew I felt a bit weak and sluggish.”

Since then, he has rescheduled the shows he hasn’t been well enough to perform, setting all of them for later dates, with some as far out as April of next year.

On Wednesday, Oct. 7, Tritt announced he was having to reschedule more shows, including a brief health update as well.

The statement on Tritt’s social media reads:

“While Travis Tritt continues to improve from his previously announced pneumonia diagnosis, he needs additional time to fully recover and will be unable to perform this weekend, October 9-11.”

Of those shows, two have been canceled:

  • Biloxi, Mississippi, on Friday, Oct. 9; and
  • Lake Charles, Louisiana, on Saturday, Oct. 10.

Tritt’s appearance at the Stars of Texas Festival in Ennis, Texas, on Saturday, Oct. 11, has been rescheduled to next year’s festival, on Oct. 10, 2027.

The statement ended by saying, “Thank you for your understanding, continued support, and well wishes as Travis continues to recover. He looks forward to being back on stage soon.”
