Travis Tritt Battles Pneumonia, Forced To Cancel A Number Of Shows
Country music fans are praying for Travis Tritt after he revealed last week that he is battling pneumonia, forcing him to cancel or postpone several upcoming shows.
“I’m sorry to report that I was diagnosed with pneumonia earlier this week. Turns out that the pneumonia was actually present for the past 2 weeks, but I didn’t know it, because I’ve never had it before,” Tritt shared at the time.
Tritt has kept busy touring since April, averaging six to eight shows each month. Along with his own headlining dates, the country star has also taken the stage as a supporting act for Zach Top, Jason Aldean, Koe Wetzel and The Red Clay Strays.
As a result of the illness, he was forced to temporarily step away from performing and reschedule two shows.
Then, on Thursday (Oct. 1), Tritt posted another update. The “Help Me Hold On” singer shared the news that he would not be able to perform at the Country Calling Festival in Ocean City, Maryland, scheduled for Friday (Oct. 2).
Additionally, his show planned for Saturday, (Oct. 3), at the Altria Theater in Richmond, Virginia, has been rescheduled to Thursday, Nov. 12th.
Fans quickly took to social media to share heartfelt thoughts and prayers, sending Tritt their best wishes as he recovers.
It seems Tritt is still not fully healed, and on Friday (Oct. 2), his team shared that he will also be canceling Sunday’s show at the Warner Theatre in Erie, Pennsylvania.
Unfortunately, this show has not been rescheduled but full ticket refunds are available to fans. You can read that update below.

Tritt’s next scheduled show is set to take place next Friday (Oct. 9), at IP Casino Resort and Spa in Biloxi, Mississippi. As of now, the show will continue as normal.
We are praying for Travis Tritt’s healthy and speedy recovery.
