In the “Austin City Limits 9th Annual Hall of Fame Honors Trisha Yearwood” special, recorded last year, Trisha Yearwood was officially inducted into the Austin City Limits Hall of Fame. The induction was a heartwarming moment, led by Yearwood’s close friend, Don Henley. During the special tribute, the duo seized the chance to relive the magic of their 1992 hit, “Walkaway Joe,” treating the audience to an unforgettable performance.

“I can’t imagine being on this stage and being honored by Don Henley and not asking him if he would come up here and help me finish my portion of the show,” Yearwood told the crowd.

As Henley joined Yearwood on stage, she paused to express her gratitude, saying,”I try to not ask you to do too many things because you always say yes and I appreciate you very much.”

The duo smoothly transitioned into their duet, their voices effortlessly working together to bring back the classic track. After their performance, Henley and Yearwood shared a friendly hug, showcasing the depth of their friendship in a touching moment.
