The biggest moment of the night finally arrived and it did not disappoint!

Trisha Yearwood, whose husband Garth Brooks served as co-host of the night, was on hand to give out the Entertainer of the Year Award!

Lambert is the reigning EOTY, while Underwood has taken home the prize in 2009, 2010, and 2020. Aldean won the award in 2016, 2017, and 2018. Combs, Brown, and Stapleton have never taken home top prize at the ACMs, though Combs has won EOTY at the CMA Awards twice.

And the winner is…

Chris Stapleton! 

He seemed as shocked as anyone to hear his name alongside Entertainer of the Year! Stapleton was truly humbled to take home the top prize and thanked everyone who had gotten him to this spot. He emotionally dedicated the award to his five children he shares with his wife Morgane, who sings with him.

“My kids sittin’ at home. They give up a lot of my time. A lot of my wife’s time. So we can do this. And this is for them,” he said with a quivering voice.
