Phil Robertson Passed Away On May 25
After a battle with Alzheimer’s Disease and an unnamed blood disease, Phil Robertson passed away at the age of 79.
Robertson started his company, Duck Commander, in 1972, and over time, he and his family built it into a multi-million dollar company. They became public figures when they launched their hunting show on the Outdoor Channel, and even more mainstream when A&E debuted a reality show featuring Phil’s entire family called Duck Dynasty.
It premiered in March 2012 and aired its final episode in 2017, and launched the Robertson family into superstardom.

After the show ended, all the family members continued their careers, but Phil became even more open about his faith.
His family announced his passing all using the same statement on social media on May 25th.
“We celebrate today that our father, husband, and grandfather, Phil Robertson, is now with the Lord,” it read.
The statement continued, “Thank you for the love and prayers of so many whose lives have been impacted by his life saved by grace, his bold faith, and by his desire to tell everyone who would listen the Good News of Jesus. We are grateful for his life on earth and will continue the legacy of love for God and love for others until we see him again.”

In January, the Robertson family revealed they were returning to television in a show titled Duck Dynasty: The Revival. The show will follow Phil’s son, Willie, who is the CEO of Duck Commander, and his growing family.

Will Phil’s Death Be Addressed On The New Show?
Season One is completely done filming and episodes are already edited. According to TMZ, cameras were not rolling when Phil passed away and there are no plans to pick them back up anytime soon.
However, there are plans to address Phil’s passing in the show…eventually. The family will share how they have mourned this insurmountable loss during Season Two.
In the season premiere, Korie actually has a conversation with Willie about dealing with his aging parents, which is all the more emotional now that his father has passed away.
While speaking with TV Insider, Korie confirmed they are now filming for the second season.
She said, “We are just starting to film for Season 2, so who knows what we’ll get into! We plan on doing a little traveling so that will be fun, and I know Willie has plans to bring Jase in to train the boys from Duckboys to Duckmen! Stay tuned!”
We will keep the Robertsons in our thoughts and prayers.
