Grace Kelley, the 27-year-old daughter of Wynonna Judd, has been arrested.

A booking profile on the Elmore County Sheriff’s Office’s official website indicates that authorities arrested Kelley on April 5 in Millbrook, Alabama, for charges of indecent exposure and obstructing governmental operations.

Currently, she remains detained in an Elmore County jail cell on a $1,000 bond.

According to AL News, a local Alabama news website, Kelley “exposed her chest and lower body at the busy intersection of Interstate 65 and Highway 14 in Millbrook.”

When officers attempted to arrest her, she refused to identify herself and instead sat down on the roadside, refusing to comply with police instructions.

Her first court date is scheduled for April 11.

Kelley’s recent arrest isn’t her first encounter with law enforcement.

She faced incarceration on August 28, 2021, for violating probation connected to a 2016 meth possession charge. Additionally, she faced arrest on May 1, 2023, for violating an order of protection and restraining order, along with a parole violation.

On April 30th, 2022, Wynonna Judd and her sister, actress Ashley Judd, took to social media to announce the passing of their beloved mother, Naomi Judd. Unfortunately, Grace Kelley remained in jail and was unable to be released to attend her grandmother’s funeral.

Both Wynonna and Ashley were present at the service. Ashley shared touching remarks, and Wynonna performed multiple songs, lending her voice to the solemn occasion.

After their loss, Wynonna and Ashley’s bond deepened, finding strength in their shared grief. Hopefully, this offered much-needed support amid ongoing legal troubles involving Wynonna’s daughter.

Despite these difficulties, Wynonna remains unwavering in her support and love for her daughter, Grace.

In an appearance on Fox News’ “The Pursuit! with John Rich” in February 2020, Wynonna commented on her daughter’s legal troubles.

“I’m no different than anyone else. I’ve got kids who have made great successful choices. I have just as much to say about the testimony — emphasis on the word ‘test’ — of both my children saying, ‘Wow, that didn’t work.’”

She continued, saying, “I will tell you this. My daughter is the strongest Judd woman in our ‘herstory.’ She’s healthier than I was at 23. How she got there — I would not go that way, but I was also sequestered. I was on a bus with my mother. Kind of hard to get in trouble. So that could have been me, John, if I didn’t have music.”

Wynonna expressed other supportive sentiments regarding her daughter in a 2022 interview with PEOPLE. She revealed that Kelley was always the first to offer correction.

“Gracie will be the first one to say, ‘Mom, that’s not exactly how it happened. It’s not about judgment, it’s just about calling me out when I get too big for my britches, as they say. And Gracie’s the one that does it.”

Despite facing numerous challenges, including legal troubles and family tragedy, the Judd family continues to navigate life with resilience and support for one another. We wish them all the best!
