on May 07, 2026

Zach Bryan Has A History Of Viral Fan Interactions
Zach Bryan has developed a reputation not only for his raw songwriting and meteoric rise in country music, but also for occasionally clashing with fans and critics online.
Throughout his career, Bryan has been outspoken on social media, often responding directly to criticism in ways that have sparked backlash. While many fans appreciate his honesty and unfiltered personality, others have accused him of being overly defensive or combative when confronted with negative feedback.

One of the more notable patterns has been Bryan’s tendency to publicly address fans who criticize his music, ticket prices, or personal decisions. Over the years, screenshots of heated exchanges on platforms like X and Instagram have circulated widely, showing the singer responding emotionally to comments from followers.
For example, a fan claimed they waited for four hours outside the concert venue for Bryan to drive by and not even roll down his window to wave hello. Bryan responded to the fan, writing, “GOMD,” which is an acronym for “get off my d*ck.”
The fan responded that it was a gross reaction, especially seeing as she is just 14 years old.
In some cases, Bryan has deleted posts or temporarily deactivated his accounts after online disputes gained traction. His passionate reactions have fueled debate among fans, with supporters arguing that his authenticity is refreshing while detractors believe celebrities should avoid attacking their audience.
Gavin Adcock is one of his most public critics, often calling Bryan out on social media for his antics. So much so that it led to Bryan jumping a barbed wire fence to attempt to confront Adcock about it in 2025.
Zach’s Latest Fan Interaction Led Him To Deactivate His X Account
The latest saga came on May 6, when a TikTok user posted a video of himself asking Zach Bryan for a photo as Bryan was driving away.
In the video, which starts when Bryan is already yelling things out of the window, the “Something In The Orange” singer yelled,“You think any ghosts ever come out of the walls with a big c**shot?”
Upon further research, that line is a quote from the “Ghost Tour” sketch on the Netflix sketch comedy show I Think You Should Leave.
Either way, it’s very vulgar and his fans online did not appreciate his choice.
The TikTok user wrote, “Been a Zach Bryan fan for abt 4 years now and I’m like his number 1 fan. When my friends think of Zach Bryan they think of me. This happend this past weekend at Starkville Mississippi about 1pm. I gotten there really early to be at the gates and saw him as I was walking up. I don’t take it to heart for what he said, but still calling a fan a c*mshot after asking for a photo is kinda crazy.”
He continued, “Like I said it don’t bother me that much but if he had said it to anyone else they would be more depressed. I love the guys music a lot but it’s hard to support someone with this intention and personality towards others. I’m not trying to get him canceled or anything it’s just a showing of his true self. Love his music but don’t love the act. I hope everyone who sees this can get what I’m trying to say.”
After the video went viral, many fans defended Bryan saying he was just trying to be funny, lots of others were calling him out for his behavior.
“I just dont understand how anyone likes this dude anymore,” one person commented.
“He lives up to his reputation every damn time. What the f***,” wrote another.
The singer responded to the video on X, writing, “You guys are so soft & weird“

Shortly after he sent this, Bryan deactivated his X account, as well as his Instagram and TikTok accounts. Before he did, he posted one last message: “A world you can’t yell ‘I Think You Should Leave’ references out the window in is a world I don’t want to be in.”
