Dubbed โ€œCountry Musicโ€™s Night To Rockโ€, CMA Fest 2016 definitely did not disappoint.

It was packed with performances by country musicโ€™s biggest superstars including Little Big Town, Brett Eldredge, Thomas Rhett, Luke Bryan, Miranda Lambert, Keith Urban, and Blake Shelton.

Sheltonโ€™s performance captured our attention because it was quite different than everyone elseโ€™s upbeat and high-energy productions.

He performed his hit song โ€œCame Here To Forgetโ€ off his latest album If Iโ€™m Honest. Each time he performs it, he brings the same passion emotion that the song calls for.

In a statement prior to the release of โ€œCame Here To Forgetโ€, Shelton said, โ€œIโ€™ve had a lot of music over the years, but I donโ€™t think Iโ€™ve ever had a song before thatโ€™s such a direct look into my life. Thatโ€™s why Iโ€™m so excited about this particular song.โ€

โ€œCame Here To Forgetโ€ tells a story of a couple that meets at a bar, with the first line sounding like a reference to Sheltonโ€™s ex-wife, Miranda Lambert, and his new girlfriend, Gwen Stefaniโ€œGirl youโ€™re getting over him, and Iโ€™m getting over her,โ€ Shelton sings, before singing that the two are โ€œdoing our best to make the best of the worst of it.โ€œ

Shelton does not play guitar on this number, but he played a mean air guitar during the musical break!
