You Donโt Want To Miss Blake Sheltonโs Passionate CMA Fest Performance Of โCame Here To Forgetโ
on Aug 03, 2016

Dubbed โCountry Musicโs Night To Rockโ, CMA Fest 2016 definitely did not disappoint.
It was packed with performances by country musicโs biggest superstars including Little Big Town, Brett Eldredge, Thomas Rhett, Luke Bryan, Miranda Lambert, Keith Urban, and Blake Shelton.
Sheltonโs performance captured our attention because it was quite different than everyone elseโs upbeat and high-energy productions.
He performed his hit song โCame Here To Forgetโ off his latest album If Iโm Honest. Each time he performs it, he brings the same passion emotion that the song calls for.
In a statement prior to the release of โCame Here To Forgetโ, Shelton said, โIโve had a lot of music over the years, but I donโt think Iโve ever had a song before thatโs such a direct look into my life. Thatโs why Iโm so excited about this particular song.โ
โCame Here To Forgetโ tells a story of a couple that meets at a bar, with the first line sounding like a reference to Sheltonโs ex-wife, Miranda Lambert, and his new girlfriend, Gwen Stefani. โGirl youโre getting over him, and Iโm getting over her,โ Shelton sings, before singing that the two are โdoing our best to make the best of the worst of it.โ
Shelton does not play guitar on this number, but he played a mean air guitar during the musical break!
