Vince Gill’s Daughter Wows With Emotional Original Song
on Sep 26, 2016
Country legend Vince Gill is known for writing and of course, singing incredible country songs. His music is arguably the most romantic in country music and at times, the saddest.
He definitely knows how to pull on our heartstrings and has done so for the past 30 or so years. With songs like “Go Rest High on That Mountain”, Gill has captivated audiences near and far with his incredible songwriting style.
Gill has passed down his talent to his daughters, Jenny and Corrina, who have both shared the stage with him multiple times.
The elder Gill sister, Jenny, has proved time and time again how talented she is and has recently performed some original music. At the “Vince Gill and Friends” show in 2015, she performed one of the songs she wrote.
“I wouldn’t be his kid if I didn’t write a sad, country song,” she said of her original song “Whiskey Words”.
She sang the emotional tune, which is about a girl who is sick and tired of hearing the sweet things her love interest says to her only when he is drunk. It’s a situation many twenty-something girls can relate to and is put to beautiful music.
Jenny has also recently released an EP titled The House Sessions.
Watch her perform the incredible song below.
