On February 25, 1994, the movie 8 Seconds premiered in theaters. The biopic is a fictionalized account of the life of Lane Frost, the 1987 PRCA bull riding World Champion.
Tragically, Lane was killed in a bull riding accident just two years later, on July 30, 1989. He was only 25 when he died.

8 Seconds, which premiered five years after Lane’s death, starred Luke Perry as Lane, Stephen Baldwin as Lane’s best friend and fellow bull rider Tuff Hedeman, and Cynthia Geary as Lane’s wife, Kellie Kyle Frost.
Although 8 Seconds became a beloved movie, Lane’s family has clarified that some of its storylines were dramatized or completely made up. Still, the project received support from Lane’s family and his widow, Kellie (who had remarried by then).
Lane’s mother, Elsie, said, “When I saw Luke Perry all dressed up as Lane, the resemblance took my breath away. I was so pleased with Luke’s portrayal of Lane.”
Elsie also expressed that she was “pleased” with Stephen Baldwin’s performance as Tuff and Cynthia Geary’s as Kellie. But where is Cynthia today, and is she still acting?
