“AGT” Host Terry Crews Runs To Press Golden Buzzer After Surprise Acrobatic Act

The judges on America’s Got Talent couldn’t believe their eyes when an acrobatics group took the stage alongside some incredibly talented furry friends.
AGT Season 21 premiered on Tuesday night, June 2, and a variety of acts came to prove that they have what it takes to win the $1 million grand prize and earn a headlining show in Las Vegas.
There were three Golden Buzzers handed out during the first night of auditions, sending them straight to the Live Shows.
One of those acts was the Acro Canine Crew, who impressed the judges with a fun performance that had plenty of surprises.
When the group first came out on stage, viewers learned they were an all-female acrobatic dance team from Edmonton, Canada, with members ranging in age from 7 to 21.
Judge Simon Cowell asked how they would split the prize money if they won the competition. The girls all said they would put the money towards improving their dance studio back home.

The girls then got into position and started their routine. At first, it looked like it would be a typical group performance. But just seconds later, everyone was shocked when a dog ran onto the stage and joined in on the act.
As the performance went on, more dogs of all sizes came out. They were running, climbing, balancing, and flipping… it had all the judges on the edge of their seats!
When it was time for feedback, the judges couldn’t contain their excitement.
“I’m just gonna have to turn it over to Sofía, because she was screaming the whole way,” Mel B said.
Sofia chimed in, “It’s like my two favorite acts, which is dancing and dog acts, and together… I really wasn’t expecting this. It was too much for me. Amazing. You’re having fun… the dogs are having fun… the perfect idea to come to AGT.”

Based on how thrilled Sofia was about the act, viewers at home were convinced she was about to use her Golden Buzzer for the group. But before she even got the chance, host Terry Crews rushed out to the judges’ table and pressed the button himself.
Gold confetti came raining down, and the Acro Canine Crew burst into tears.
Sofia, on the other hand, couldn’t help but feel a little annoyed during the moment. She agreed the team deserved the Golden Buzzer, but she wished she had been the one to hit it.
“I was about to do it!” Sofia screamed. “He didn’t even give me time to do anything!”
Luckily, she’ll still get her moment later this season since each judge has two Golden Buzzers to use during the audition rounds.
