Top 3 Contestants Revealed Ahead Of The Season 23 Finale Of American Idol
The finale for Season 23 of American Idol is right around the corner. Here’s everything you need to know before the show airs!
On Monday (May 12), the Top 5 contestants sang two Disney songs. Voting opened during the episode, and America cast their ballots for their three favorite contestants.
By the night’s end, it was revealed that Jamal Roberts, John Foster, and Breanna Nix formed the Top 3. Thunderstorm Artis and Slater Nalley were sadly sent home just one week before the finale.
Fans can tune in to the finale on Sunday, May 18, to see if Jamal, John, or Breanna becomes the next winner of American Idol. Whoever wins will follow in the footsteps of prior champions such as Scotty McCreery, Iam Tongi, Kelly Clarkson, and Carrie Underwood.
Underwood, who won Season 4 of Idol in 2005, has served as a judge during Season 23. Throughout the season, she’s revisited some of her past performances and shared personal details about her experience on the show.
Who Is Performing During The Idol Finale?
As mentioned above, the Season 23 finale of American Idol is airing on Sunday, May 18. The finale will air live at 8 PM Eastern time on ABC and will run for three hours.
The episode will feature performances from the Top 3 contestants: Jamal Robertson, John Foster, and Breanna Nix.
All three judges, Carrie Underwood, Luke Bryan, and Lionel Richie, will also perform during the show. If they follow past tradition, they’ll likely sing duets with the finalists. Artist-in-residence Jelly Roll will also perform during the finale.
