Hello! My name is Abigail Griffith, but most people call me Abby. I’m a Southern California native who has always loved country music. I’ve loved it since driving to surf practice in my F150, blasting everything from George Strait to Morgan Wallen. In 2024, I moved to Tennessee, which brought me closer to my roots—and to my grandparents, who live just a few hours away. I still make that drive in my Ford truck whenever I visit them.

As a two-sport collegiate athlete, I spent two years on a full-ride rowing scholarship at the University of Oklahoma. Then, I discovered my passion for storytelling, especially screenwriting, which led me to transfer to San Francisco State University to study film and play volleyball. To this day, you can often find me on a volleyball court or catching the latest film after work.

Before joining Country Rebel, I ran my own digital agency for seven years, where I honed my craft as a storyteller. Traveling the world was one of the biggest perks—I’ll never forget the chocolate croissants in Paris or the cappuccinos in Australia! Contributing to the Country Rebel team now feels like the perfect blend of my passions, and I’m excited to continue writing about the music and lifestyle I’ve always loved.

My favorite articles I’ve written are The History Behind Veterans Day & Why We Celebrate It, Kevin Costner’s Character John Dutton’s Fate On “Yellowstone” Finally Revealed, and Country Stars React After Donald Trump Wins The Presidential Election.

If you’re a fan of books, poetry, new experiences, and lifelong learning, then we’re on the same page! When I’m not writing about my favorite music, I’m busy creating poetry, screenplays, and YouTube scripts. Thanks for taking the time to learn a little about me. Hopefully, I’ll catch you somewhere else on the internet—maybe in my next article?
