Ella Langley has maintained a jam-packed schedule this year. Between her own headlining Dandelion tour and opening for Morgan Wallen on select dates of his Still the Problem tour, she’s been on the road for months.

In the midst of it all, the “Choosin’ Texas” singer recently found some time to sneak in a tropical vacation. She visited St. Thomas, which is one of the U.S. Virgin Islands.

The reason we know about Langley’s beach getaway is because she popped into one of the island’s most beloved venues, Iggies Beach Bar. Patrons were stunned when Langley casually strolled in with a group of friends.

But that’s not all…the reigning ACM Female Artist of the Year joined the band for an impromptu performance!

The Bolongo Bay Beach Resort shared a clip of Langley singing Bob Marley and the Wailers’ “Three Little Birds” with local band Reggae Dynasty at Iggies Beach Bar. A small crowd gathered around Langley and seemed to be having a blast as they swayed and shimmied along to the music.

“This actually happened! Bolongo Bay wrote in the video’s caption. “Thank you to @ellalangleymusic & her super wonderful friends for stopping by @iggiesbeachbar and spreading the love and good vibes with us on one of their last evenings in St. Thomas.”

Bolongo Bay continued, saying, “Imagine our joy and gratitude when she spontaneously started singing a duet with our beloved local band, Reggae Dynasty! Such a special, fun night for everyone.”

Head below to watch that video and another shared by Iggies themselves. Can you imagine what it would be like to be on vacation and then Ella Langley suddenly shows up where you are?

Ella Langley Recently Made Billboard Chart History As “Choosin’ Texas” Continues Its Run At #1

“Choosin’ Texas” has made Ella Langley one of the most popular singers in the world at the moment. The song has now spent 17 non-consecutive weeks at #1 on the all-genre Billboard Hot 100 chart, placing Langley in elite company.

Only seven songs have reigned at the top spot for 16 weeks or more. Those songs are:

  • “Last Night” by Morgan Wallen – 16 Weeks
  • “Despacito” by Luis Fonsi & Daddy Yankee – 16 Weeks
  • “One Sweet Day” by Mariah Carey & Boys II Men – 16 Weeks
  • “Choosin’ Texas” by Ella Langley – 17 Weeks
  • “Old Town Road” by Lil Nas X – 19 Weeks
  • “A Bar Song (Tipsy) by Shaboozey – 19 Weeks
  • “All I Want for Christmas Is You” by Mariah Carey – 22 Weeks

Langley now holds the record for the longest-running non-holiday #1 song by a female artist. If “Choosin’ Texas” continues its unprecedented streak and surpasses the record set by “All I Want for Christmas Is You,” then it would be the longest-running #1 song period.

Stay tuned to see if Langley reaches that milestone! In the meantime, enjoy her star-studded video for “Choosin’ Texas” below, which features Luke Grimes, Ava Phillippe, Miranda Lambert, Kaitlin Butts, and bull rider J.B. Mauney.
