Blake Shelton Allegedly Officiates Narvel Blackstock’s Wedding

Rebe McEntire’s ex-husband, Narvel Blackstock, married Laura Stroud in a beautiful ceremony over the weekend.

Narvel Blackstock has served as manager for many well-known artists over the years including Kelly Clarkson, Reba McEntire, and Blake Shelton. Blackstock was actually a member of McEntire’s band before he became her manager. Blackstock and McEntire ended up falling in love and were married for 26 years. Although the two were married for a long time, McEntire described the relationship as “always business.”

“Our marriage was 26 years. We started out working together in the band,” Reba shared. “He was part of the band, and then became my manager, later on then my husband, but it was a situation that was always business — whether we were getting ready in the morning, pillow talk, whatever, but it was business.”

Blackstock is now the owner and operator of Starstruck Entertainment which manages Carly Pearce, Emily Ann Roberts, Maggie Rose, Pryor Baird, and Ty Myers.

It’s no secret Blake Shelton and Narvel Blackstock are good buddies.

Narvel Blackstock has been Blake’s manager for many years. Blake even credits Blackstock for changing his life.

Blake Shelton received a Hollywood Walk of Fame Star last year, and he credited Blackstock during his speech saying,

“If there’s one person that I probably need to thank more than anybody from a career standpoint, Narvel Blackstock literally changed my life,” Blake said. “He got me to take my cowboy hat off. I mean, my God … and cut my mullet. You’re an a** for that, actually, because that’s cool again. Now, I can’t go back.”

Blake posted a picture for Narvel’s birthday with the caption, “Happy Birthday to my manager Narvel Blackstock! Have a great one buddy!” The picture Blake posted was actually of Marty Roe from Diamond Rio. Shelton’s followers quickly picked up on the error, but noted the two did look alike.

Blake jokingly fixed it by posting a photo of Bill Dean with the caption, ” Oh that’s embarrassing… I confused my manager with this guy Marty Roe!!! Sorry Marty!”

Blake finally concluded the hilarious thread with a picture of Narvel saying, “Anywho…. Happy Birthday Narvel!”

These two obviously have a good time together. It’s no surprise Narvel wanted Blake to be a part of his big day.

In photos posted to Instagram by Narvel’s daughter-in-law, Marissa Blackstock, Blake Shelton can be seen officiating Narvel’s marriage to longtime love and Reba’s former friend, Laura Stroud. Little is known about Narvel and Laura’s relationship, but they reportedly have been together since shortly after his divorce from Reba in 2015.
