Country star Blake Shelton found a unique way to premiere the much-anticipated video for his latest single, “Came Here To Forget.” The singer teamed up with Discovery Channel’s Deadliest Catch to coordinate the video premiere tune and the season 12 premiere of the television show.
Shelton took to Twitter earlier today to share his excitement about the new video.
Almost #DIED when I saw the new video for #CameHereToForget… y’all are gonna love it!!! #CATCH it tonight. @DeadliestCatch @Discovery

Shelton’s new ballad was released earlier this month and, as promised, gave fans an intimate look at his highly-publicized split from Miranda Lambert last summer and his new relationship with Gwen Stefani.
In a statement prior to the song’s release, 39-year old Shelton said “I’ve had a lot of music over the years, but I don’t think I’ve ever had a song before that’s such a direct look into my life. That’s why I’m so excited about this particular song.”
From the looks of things, Shelton’s fans are excited too! “Came Here To Forget” soared to the top of the iTunes Country Music Singles chart in a matter of days. The tune is the first single from Blake’s upcoming album “If I’m Honest” that is set to drop on May 20th.
