Kelly Clarkson’s Daughter Helps Her Say Goodbye To ‘Idol’ One Last Time
on Apr 08, 2016
It’s the end of an era.
American Idol’s series finale had to have been bittersweet for original champion, Kelly Clarkson.
In 2002, she was crowned the first ever American Idol and fifteen years later, the show has come to an end.
Because she is so far along in her second pregnancy, she was unable to attend the finale, but she did pre-record a mini-concert featuring several of her biggest hits.
She and her family watched the finale from home as she tweeted through the episode, reminiscing about the show that gave her a career.
“I can’t believe I’m sitting here with my little girl about to watch the end!” she tweeted. “How crazy is life?!”
After Trent Harmon was crowned the winner, she congratulated him and also runner-up La’Porsha Renae on a job well done. She then said goodbye to American Idol one last time, but she had a little help.
She filmed a video of her adorable daughter, River Rose, saying goodbye to Idol, and if that’s not the perfect ending, we don’t know what is!
