Strangest Act In ‘America’s Got Talent’ History Has Everyone Talking

Season 11 of America’s Got Talent kicked off last night (May 31) and provided some top notch entertainment along with plenty of indescribable moments, including what is being called one of the strangest acts in the show’s history.

Just a few acts into this season’s premiere episode, an unnamed, wide-eyed man with a strip of tape over his mouth brought the audience to its feet and wowed the judges without saying a word. The man, known only as Tape Face, stared at the judges and responded to questions with simple nods or shrugs before launching into his routine.

As music began to play, Tape Face drew two oven mitts out of his backpack and, using them as puppets, lip-synched to Lionel Richie and Diana Ross’s “Endless Love.”

Another hilarious routine set to Chris de Burgh’s “Lady In Red” followed leaving hard-to-impress Simon Cowell floored. The first-time AGT judge called the act “simple, clever, unique, funny, brilliant” and sent Tape Face on to the next round.

See what all the hype is about in the video below. Do you agree with Simon’s assessment?
