Adele Boldly Admits To Being “Completely And Utterly Obsessed” With This Country Artist

British pop sensation Adele is arguably one of the biggest music stars on the planet. While Adele is far from country, she is unashamedly a huge fan of country music and has partnered with artists such as Sugarland and Darius Rucker for collaborations.

But, it’s Adele’s over-the-top infatuation with country bluegrass goddess Alison Krauss that made headlines recently. While on tour in Syndey, Australia, recently, the 28-year old made a shocking confession to the more than 95,000 fans at ANZ Stadium.

“I was very late to the game on country music…I came across Alison Krauss and shortly after she came out with the Raising Sand album, which blew my mind. Ever since then, I’ve been completely and utterly obsessed with her. I have Google Alerts on her. I must know where she is, what she’s doing, who she’s with, what she likes, all the time. And I don’t know her, you see, so it’s very, very stalker vibes. It’s really not a great look how obsessed I am with her…” Adele confessed.

Adele had a chance to meet her idol when she performed in Nashville in October, and the singer’s recollection of the meeting is unlike anything we’ve ever heard before.

“She came to my show in Nashville, so obviously I had to see her and suck her blood, basically. Someone that works with me told me she was in catering. So I went to catering and she was going into the toilet, so obviously I followed her into the toilet,” Adele said unashamedly. “It was, like, one toilet. It wasn’t a sort of cubicle. So I just followed her into the room in my dress. She was very kind. She didn’t get me arrested, but she did sort of slowly back me out of the room.”

In a recent interview, Krauss admits that she didn’t realize just how big Adele’s obsession with her was.

“People were sending me texts but I had no real idea until I went to see her. I had a call inviting us to the show in Nashville. I took my parents and my son,” Krauss said before admitting that Adele was as amazing as she expected her to be.

“When I met Adele, she was just as people had told me . . .  sweet, generous, hilarious. It was unbelievable.”
