Home Free burst onto the country music scene in 2013 following their epic win on the NBC singing competition The Sing Off. The Minnesota-based a cappella group gained a large and faithful following with their jaw-dropping country music covers.

The cover song that put the all-male quintet over the top was Johnny Cash‘s 1963 tune “Ring of Fire.” Home Free first performed the tune during The Sing Off, earning a standing ovation from the crowd and the judges. Bass singer Tim Foust’s incredible range paired with flawless beat boxing from Adam Rupp and spot-on harmonies from Rob Lundquist, Chris Rupp and Austin Brown would lead the group to a major Sing Off victory.

Shortly after their Sing Off win, Home Free teamed up with fellow a cappella singer Avi Kaplan, bass vocalist for Pentatonix, to create a video for “Ring of Fire.” The collaboration gave the group their most successful music video ever with nearly 18 million views to date.

Check out Home Free and Avi Kaplan’s impressive performance of “Ring of Fire” in the video below. The song’s final note is something you don’t want to miss!
